Description:

Katerina Vrana, one of Greece‘s top stand-up comedians, is coming to
Amsterdam on May 23 at 9pm at Southend Comedy Club with the show “It’s
My Pleasure!”.

With her mix of irreverent humor, disarming self-deprecation, and irresistible honesty,
Katerina Vrana re-introduces herself  in her own unique way, creating a truly hilarious
show full of moments of genuine connection with the audience.
In the show “ it’s my pleasure” Katerina enjoys taking a ridiculous look at her
experiences as a freshly disabled comedian, her surprisingly insensitive Greek
family, becoming quite famous after nearly dying and being constantly misunderstood
because of her speech. Especially by her phone.
For those who haven’t met her yet, it’s the perfect opportunity to see her live. And for
those who already know her, to catch up on her latest news! (after all, apparently she
just made history in Greece…?)

Katerina is one of Greece‘s top stand-up comedians who performs in both Greek and
English all over the world. Her solo shows have sold out in both languages at
international festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe and the Melbourne International
Comedy Festival. CNN included her in its list of "Female Comedians You Must See"
and in 2016 she came third the Laugh Factory's international stand-up competition
"Funniest Person In The World".
In 2017, while on tour in Malaysia, she fell seriously and nearly died. She survived
but with multiple impairments that have affected her movement, her eyesight and her
speech. She now moves around mainly in a wheelchair.

In 2019 she returned to the stage with the show "Staying Alive ( I nearly died, you
now)" which became the most successful stand-up comedy show in Greece. This
show also went on European tour in 2023, selling out all 14 cities of the
tour. Recently, Katerina made history in Greece by being the first disabled presenter
on Greek TV, presenting Sing for Greece, the national competition for choosing the
song that would represent Greece in Eurovision 2026.
